Christmas At ‘the birthplace of Jesus’- Bethlehem
As always, thousands of tourists found their way to the the West Bank town of Bethlehem to celebrate Christmas.
Huge crowds gathered in the biblical settlement, said to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ, creating a party atmosphere, according to the BBC.
The appropriately-named Manger Square was packed, a sign of the increasing number of visitors to the town in recent years, said the Mirror.
The resumption of peace talks aimed at resolving the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians is thought to be behind this surge.
Near Manger square, the Church of the Nativity sits on the spot where Jesus is said to have been born.
