Cristiano Ronaldo Wins Third Ballon D’or

Cristiano Ronaldo, the Real Madrid forward has been awarded the Ballon D’or for the third time in his career tonight.
He was given the nod ahead of close rival and four time Ballon D’or winner, Lionel Messi as well as Bayern Munich goalkeeper, Manuel Nueuer.
The 29 year old player is winning it for the second time in a row after winning the award last year. He also won the award in 2008.
Cristiano Ronaldo had a whooping 37.66 percent of the votes, while Messi edged Neuer, 15.76 to 15.72 percent, for runner-up.
In guiding Real Madrid to their “La Decima”, Cristiano Ronaldo set a record of 17 goals in the prestigious Uefa Champions League
