New Michael Jackson album release date announced

There's a new Michael Jackson album..five years after his death. Sony and Epic Records today announced a plan to release a posthumous Michael Jackson album titled Xscape

Epic CEO L.A. Reid handpicked eight previously unreleased tracks by Michael Jackson, which have been 'contemporised for modern ears' and added new production by Timbaland and Rodney Jerkins.

The album drops May 13th.

8-Yr-Old Nigeria's Got Talent Winner, Amarachi Releases Music Video

8 year old wonder kid Amarachi Uyanne, winner of the first edition of Nigeria's Got Talent Reality Show has just released the video to her first single “Amarachi Dance”. The video was Styled and Scripted By ToyinLawani, CEO of TiannahStyling.

Outfit choices and inspiration include an Indian outfit inspired by Alaadin story for kids, black leather outfit with galaxy tee shirt- made to give Amarachi a toned down rock star look, a hip hop look with white trousers- inspired by Amarachi’s dance song, a gold ballet outfit- inspired by her ballet dance performance at Nigeria's Got Talent and a school uniform ensemble that goes with the school scene in the music video. The ‘Mohawk’ hair style was carefully chosen by ToyinLawanito compliment the various looks and was inspired by American child music star Willow Smith.

COSON vs BON and IBAN | The Airplay Battle

There’s a fierce battle going on right now between Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), and the Broadcasters Organization of Nigeria (BON) as well as the Independent Broadcasting Association of Nigeria (IBAN). COSON has dragged a few radio stations to court in a bid to have them pay very large sums as royalties to artists for airplay. For this reason, BON and IBAN have reacted by placing a ban on the playing of songs by artists who are members of COSON.

In a statement jointly signed by Sonny Adun and Guy Murray Bruce, IBAN Chairman and Secretary respectively, the two bodies said they were constrained to take this step principally as “a result of COSON’s attitude of antagonism and harassment under the leadership of Tony Okoroji (COSON Chairman)”.

“The Independent Broadcasting Association of Nigeria (IBAN), in alignment with Broadcasters Organization of Nigeria (BON) hereby informs the General public that the music of the following Artistes is hereby suspended from airing on our stations with immediate effect:
