Mercy Johnson And Chika Ike Denies Beef Rumour

Over the weekend, it was reported that Nollywood damsels; Mercy Johnson Okojie and Chika Ike were not in talking terms. According to reports, the two pretty actresses were fighting over seniority issues. It was further reported that Mercy was particularly bitter because she expected Chika Ike to respect her more than she presently does.

Mercy and Chika have now debunked the rumour. The movie stars took to Twitter to laugh off the reports, jokingly stating that if they would not fight, Purity, Mercy Johnson’s one-year-old daughter would be the referee. They also sarcastically said  they would now get hand gloves to slug it out with each other.

"Babe, I hear say we dey fight o, I don buy my boxing glove o, oya#bellringing# round 1," Mercy Johnson posted, while Chika replied saying, "my gurl4life, I hear am too ooo, me self go buy my own glove, oya make Purity be the referee o. LOL, #round2.”

The second coming of Jesus Christ may never happen – Vatican

The SPOKESPERSON for the Vatican officially announced some days ago that the second coming of Jesus, the only son of the God, may not happen now after all, but urged followers to still continue with their faith, regardless of the news.

Cardinal Giorgio Salvadore told WWN that this years 1,981st anniversary is to be the Vatican’s last in regards to waiting for the Lord to return  to Earth.

“We just feel Jesus is not coming back by the looks of it.” he said. “It’s been ages like. He’s probably flat out doing other really good things for people somewhere else.”

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus promised his disciples that he would come again in chapter John 14:1-3 of the bible: “There are many homes up where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with Me where I am. If this weren’t so, I would tell you plainly”

The Vatican defended Jesus’ broken promise, claiming “he was probably drinking wine” at the time when he made the comments.

“Having the ability to turn water into wine had its ups and its downs.” added Cardinal Salvadore. “We all make promises we can’t keep when we’re drunk. Jesus was no different.”

The church said it will now focus attentions on rebuilding its reputation around the world, but will keep an optimistic mind for the savior’s second coming.

Boko Haram Kills UTME Candidates In Borno State

An unknown number of secondary school students travelling to Borno state to write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JAMB) , have reportedly been killed by the Boko Haram sect. The students were among the people that lost their lives during the multiple attacks unleashed in four different communities in Borno;  Dikwa, Kala Balge, Gambulga and Gwoza. It isn’t yet certain, but the Senator representing Borno Central in the Senate, Zannah Ahmed claims 210 people lost their lives. He also claims that the attackers were dressed in the military uniform and they spoke English language  rather than the Hausa and Kanuri language spoken by the Boko Haram insurgents. Read his statement on the issue below…
The senator who said he was compelled to speak out because his people were being killed on a daily basis, added “what happened in Borno was beyond understanding.” He said: “It is a must for me to speak since the people lives are involved and they are my people. All these are happening in my constituency and it will be wrong to keep quiet. I feel so much pained and would not have spoken but definitely my conscience will not let me do that.” He alleged that 210 people were slaughtered by marauders, who dressed in military uniforms and attacked the towns in two armored personnel cars and seven double cabin pickups. According to him, they attacked a Teachers College in Dikwa and killed seven people, burnt down the school library and administrative block. He said Kala Balge was the most devastated as 60 people were killed by the armed men who went on the rampage. He said after they left Kala Balge they attacked three other towns in the area where a total of 150 persons were killed.
A source however, said that the insurgents laid ambush for a group of students riding in eight different vehicles, who were on their way to Biu from Maiduguri to write Senior the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination scheduled for Saturday April, 2014.

"My colleagues want to run me down" - comedian Klint Da Drunk

In a recent interview with Punch, popular comedian Klint Da Drunk alleged that his colleagues are trying to run him down, peddling rumours that his love for computer game is the reason he hasn't gone far in his comedy career

"Now they say I would have gone far in my career if not for my love for computer games. It is this same set of comedians that went around telling people that I live in Abuja so that I will not be getting Lagos shows. My colleagues want to run me down, let them feel free. It is because they are afraid of me; they feel that if they run me down I won’t survive it. I am a gadget lover, that is the truth. Everyone knows that whenever I walk into a gadget shop the people there want me to educate them about some of their gadgets. Isn’t it better that I am a sucker for video games than a sucker for smoking igbo, marijuana?” he asks
On his relationship with other comedians, Klint said "They have cliques but that does not bother me because it doesn’t affect my career. God still chases away flies for a tailless cow. So, I'm not complaining".

I Can Start Thinking Of Marriage When I’m In My Late 30’s - Ice Prince

Ice Prince in a new interview with vanguard has said, he is not ready for marriage and will start thinking about it in his late 30’s. I don’t think I am planning to get married now because I am still young, I’m in my youth and moreover, I am just 27 years old. Maybe later in my late thirties I can start planning to get married or not, he said.

When asked what his real reasons were he said; It’s because I still have a long way to go before thinking of settling down. I can’t say because of what I have, that I am okay to get married, no. I don’t think I am mentally ready for marriage. I think before one could get married, one needs to attain certain level of understanding and awareness. I don’t think I have those qualities just yet.

He also spoke about his relationship and babymama; Yeah, but I wouldn’t want to talk about my girlfriend and about the mother of my baby. She is good and we are not talking about getting married because I’m not ready yet.

Panic In Makurdi Over ‘Talking’ Chicken

There was panic yesterday among residents in Makurdi, Benue state after news of a 'talking' chicken went viral.

Apparently the said chicken was said to being taken to the market to be sold when suddenly it started speaking in Arabic.

The incident was reported to have occurred at about 12 noon around the Wadata central mosque premises located few meters from the divisional police station.

Residents around the ‘A’ division police station beside Wadata Market, Makurdi took to their heels after hearing the news.

A woman in the area who gave her name as Aishetu said “I have not seen the chicken myself,” she confessed. “I heard that police have taken it into custody and that is why the station is so crowded. Everybody wants to see it talk,” she said.

The incident was said to have caused some sort of chaos as motorists plying the road, hurriedly reversed to the opposite direction while buyers and sellers in the market ran helter-skelter for safety fearing it was a renewed hostility between farmers and herdsmen who ceased fire barely a week ago.

Meanwhile as a way of restoring normality to the area, the policemen were reported to have threw canister to disperse the crowd who wanted to have a glance of the 'talking' chicken.

The Police spokesman, SP. Daniel Ezeala, however dismissed the claims saying “How can a fowl talk’” he queried. “There is nothing like that because it is unnatural for animals to talk. It is the handiwork of mischief makers who wanted to displace traders and loot their wares in the market,” Ezeala said.

More Evil Forests Would Be Exposed Says Deeper Life Pastor

The General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministries in Oyo State, Pastor Sola Odumosu, has said that more evil sites like the horror forest in Soka would be exposed through prayers and the intervention of Christians.
Speaking on Monday at a press conference held at the church’s headquarters in Ibadan to unveil plans for the visit of the church’s General Overseer, Pastor W.F Kumuyi, for a miracle crusade scheduled to hold from Friday to Sunday at the church’s camp ground, Km 10, New Ibadan-Oyo Expressway, Pastor Sola said the last was yet to be seen or heard about the discovery of evil dens.
The man of God said that Kumuyi's visit would expose every hideout of the evil ones as well as raise people’s hopes in the face of insecurity and socio-economic challenges bedeviling the city.
He said the church would not relent in intervening for the nation so that all forces of darkness would be expelled.
"The last is yet to be heard of such discovery. More of such evils will be exposed by the prayers and interventions of Christians. Only righteousness exalts a nation, sin is a reproach to any people and every evil in this state will be uncovered during the crusade," he said.

It would be recalled that the soka evil forest was discovered on March 22, 2014, in Ibadan, Oyo State, after a group of local youths embarked on a search of two missing cyclists.
Over 50 suspected ‘mentally-ill’ persons have been arrested by the police after the incident, following the attack on mentally-ill people by Ibadan residents on the suspicion that they were ritualists.

Actor Jim Iyke Shares A Touching Tribute To His Late Mother

Nollywood Jim Iyke actor sadly lost his mother on the 1st of April, 2014 and has left a touching tribute to her after breaking his silence on her demise.

“She was a force of nature. My big sis, my 1st wife, my confidante, my rock, my critique, my greatest fan and regal leader.

“She was a radiant, gorgeous woman with a smile bigger than the sun and always ready to embrace anyone for all the good and even wrong reasons.

“My sun is gone. The dull numbing ache in my heart will never be pacified by any woman alive. Not my lover, sisters nor even a daughter I may one day bear.

“The relationship of a mother and an only son is uniquely eternal and spiritual, transcending human comprehension. Mine with Gladys is even far strangely beyond that. “They say it’s a blessing if a son buries his mother and not the other way around. I’m not sure they’re entirely right.

“They also said one never recovers from the loss of their mother. I hope they are right! May I never recover from the memories of your celestial love, sacrifices, warmth, your contagious laughter and merciless wit.

“Your enthusiasm for life and service of others was infectious. I’ll miss you each and every waking moment of my life. I know you’re in a better place now. “I’ll carry on everything you stood for ’til my last days.

“You came and saw and conquered. “Adieu Gladys from your boy Jim. “I love you till the last breathe I take.”

Call it ‘Man’s inhumanity to Man’ but the photograph was taken by another delegate who just couldn’t stomach it; uploading it online.

The picture has since passed through fire from online commentators but as the identity of the delegate isn’t certain, the fire rages without anyone burning.

With the huge resources pulled to finance the confab, many are already calling it a ‘waste of time, with delegates like this’.

Marriage Crisis! Kim & Kanye’s Wedding Plans In Disarray

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s Parisian wedding plans have hit a major snafu, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned, after the couple learned that French law requires a 40-day residency requirement PRIOR to any wedding!

Kardashian, 33, had planned on saying I Do to West, 36, on May 24. But according to various statutes in France, at least one of the parties has to have resided in France for at least 40 days prior to the wedding.

Radar reviewed the law with the French Embassy in Washington D.C. whom advised: “All marriages must be performed by a French civil authority before any religious ceremony takes place. The mayor can authorize the deputy mayor or a city councilor to perform the ceremony in the town in which one of the parties to be married has resided for at least 40 days preceding the marriage. These requirements can not be waived.”

A Kardashian source confirmed: “Kim and Kanye were unaware until recently that France required a residency requirement prior to the marriage. Kanye has an apartment in Paris, but he doesn’t live there full-time.”

This could explain the sudden and unexpected change to West’s Yeezus world tour, as we reported last week: The hip hop recording artist announced he would be postponing his planned Australian tour — which had originally been scheduled for the weeks before the May 24 event — until the fall.

West claimed he made the switch to give himself more time to work on his upcoming studio album, due later this year.

But on Twitter, fans seemed to think that it was no coincidence he was postponing his professional obligations as he preps for the big day!

“Kanye West postponed tour cuz he’s a control freak and needs to stay and oversee the minutia of the wedding,” one follower wore. “Bible!”

French law further dictates that there be TWO wedding ceremonies.

“The religious ceremony has to be performed after the civil ceremony (never before). The minister, priest or rabbi will require a certificate of civil marriage before any religious ceremony takes place,” the French Embassy also said.

We’re told Kimye’s French marriage will be legally recognized in the United States.

Many celeb pals say no to Kanye West's wedding

According to new reports, Kanye West is having a tough time convincing his celebrity pals to attend his upcoming wedding to Kim Kardashian…

From Star Magazine
More than 105 potential guests have already declined to attend the wedding – responding “No” to Kim’s Save The Date. Among the non-attendees are a number of Kanye’s celebrity acquaintances, who likely don’t want to be affiliated with a Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s special.
“Robin Thicke, Jerad Leto, Jonah Hill, Anna Wintour, Oprah Winfrey, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Prince, Karl Lagerfeld, Barack and Michelle Obama and Beyonce and Jay Z have all said they won’t be coming,” the insider dishes.
“Kanye knows that the Kardashians are hated, but he really thought his friends and associates would attend for his sake.”

2face Idibia Says it all; My women, The lies and The truth

2face Idibia recently had an interesting chat with the Nation’s newspaper - he bared his mind on life as a married man, the alleged scandals that have trailed his career for years and his relationship with his babies’ mothers.

The best part was where he sweetly described Annie Idibia as a jealous woman "She loves me. So she must be jealous. If I am laughing with a particular girl too much or I am going the way that I am not supposed to go, or if one girl is following me too much, she will be there to caution me. She definitely has to be protective of her man. At that point she can tell such a girl, ‘hold your side!’ And if it is I that is doing it, she could tell me, ‘cool down, I dey here o.’"

See excerpts below:

We read so much about you in the news. Would you say that those things we read about you are true?

A lot of them have been false, while a lot of them have been true. Some are true, no doubt, but a lot, like I said, are so false. It is like that, and it has been like that.

How do you feel when they are so false?

I am always then like, why should people be so evil? So evil like that? I tend to ask myself at that point why? People are so lazy that they cannot take time to seek out the truth! Take for instance your own medium; you have taken time to seek me out. I guess that is how it should be. If you ask questions rightly, of course, you will get answers. Sometimes though, those false stories amuse me. That is being famous for you! I take it in good strides. I do not let it affect my character.

You talk about false stories, which one can you immediately share with us?

Okay, there is this recent one, which has been in the news lately, which refers to me as having impregnated my account officer. In the first place, I do not know where that story emanated from. I don’t even know where that story could have come out from. I don’t know about it at all!

But the impression out there is that it is true…
Of course it is not true. Impression you said, but impression can also be in both ways. Initially nobody said whether it was true or not. So what I did was to correct whatever impression from my twitter page. But the story still went on. It is a serious matter because now I am married. So it is unfair for anyone to put out such story about me perhaps because they want to sell their medium or sell their blog. It is really totally unfair to me, especially now that I am married. If I wasn’t married, we would have laughed over the matter. But now, I am. So I do not expect that people will play over such issues of emotion at this time of my life.

What does it feel like to be Tuface, to be famous?

It’s not easy for me. But I feel say na me don go set myself up. I have gone out there to put myself up, so I have to live it. It is not easy. If feels good, but it is a lot of challenges, a lot of non-privacy. So many things are being flung your way, temptations, and if you are not careful, you get swept off by the evil tide. There are so many hazards in being famous and if you can’t control yourself, you get carried away within a short time. It is not all smooth- sailing. I can tell you that it is not all glamour.
For instance, I enter into an event, a place and I walk straight to go and find a seat for myself to sit. But before I know it, some people will take it personal. Meanwhile if someone else does it, it is seen as normal and accepted. So when I enter a place, I have to move around first and greet people. That is why you see me say ‘I hail o’ each time I enter a place. But you know, it is not all the time that you are in a good mood to be so friendly. But because you are famous, whether you are in a good mood or not, you have to put on a smile and greet people. Else, if you do not do that as a celebrity, such things will make you to easily make enemies. You actually make enemies without even realizing it. That is the crazy part of being a celebrity and a famous person.

How has married life been? It has been a year already, isn’t it?

Yes, it was a year on Sunday. And the wedding actually took place on a Sunday. It was like the same day all over again. So far so good, married life is cool. We don dey do wetin married people dey do. We don dey sidon together, we go laugh, we go quarrel small (laughs), we go come hold each other again as if no be us quarrel some moments ago. Life has been kind to us since we got married. We have been living happily ever after. I know we did the wedding in Dubai and some said they couldn’t come. But I tell you, even if we had done it in Lagos, some people would still have missed it. The Dubai event was not an excuse for anybody to say anything. We did the traditional wedding celebration in Akwa Ibom State, in Nigeria after all.

Before you proposed, there were some other women in your life. Why is it Annie that you decided to propose to and marry?

I have been fortunate enough to have met a couple of nice ladies in life and two of them even have children for me. But I think that Annie and I understand each other more. As with matters of the heart, it is very difficult sometimes to find the right words to explain it. Somehow, you just know that this is the particular person that you want to stay with.

How do you handle the ‘maturity thing’ in marriage?

We try to live our lives our own way. We have never had cause to introduce the third party in our home. When we have a problem, we sort it out between ourselves. We don’t call anybody in to come and solve our problems for us. We sit down and talk about it. Like I said earlier, sometimes we quarrel when both of us are stubborn over a matter. But we do not involve the third party!

Do the other ladies still hang around?

Definitely I have a couple of female friends, just like I have a couple of male friends. Boundaries are to be respected and if boundaries are not being respected, I have to voice a respectable apology and move on. But I think my friends know this. So they ‘free’ me.

Is your wife not the jealous type?

She loves me. So she must be jealous. If I am laughing with a particular girl too much or I am going the way that I am not supposed to go, or if one girl is following me too much, she will be there to caution me. She definitely has to be protective of her man. At that point she can tell such a girl, ‘hold your side!’ And if it is I that is doing it, she could tell me, ‘cool down, I dey here o.’

How do you relate to your children from different women?

If you see me and my children together, you will think we are mates. That is how I relate with them.

And your relationship with your children’s mothers?

We are good. We are peaceful, everybody is matured. We have a cordial relationship. One love always…

Looking at you, physically you have not changed much since you got married. One would have expected that you would have become bulkier in size. The face keeps remaining the same. How have you been able to keep fit and trim over the years?

I guess it is my structure. It is my nature. I am a lean person by nature. I do not do any dieting to remain in this shape. It is my natural structure.

And no protruding stomach…
(Laughs) I try to do exercise once in a while; I try to stay on top.

What is your best food?

Beans and yam (concoction, laughs). But there is one soup called ekpankukwo that my wife cooks for me from time to time..

It is been a long journey from where you are coming from. Looking back, how do you feel? How have the big moments in your life been so far?

When I look back, I am amazed. Back then, I didn’t think that I could make it to this point. I didn’t see it coming to this height. I probably may have seen it two years ahead, but not this far. There have been many ups and downs. So many highlights and high moments; one of my greatest moments back then was the first time that Plantashun Boys’ music was played on radio. It was like Christmas! We said to ourselves, ol boy, na our song dey radio so. That was in the year 1999; we did Omode meta with Tony Tetuila in 1998. But Plantashun Boys, which was our own music, made us so excited. There was jubilation amongst us. And then after, I got a couple of awards. That made me more excited.
And then again I went solo, won the MTV Europe Music Awards. That was a major highlight in my musical career. It was a big deal to me.
My video was the first to be played on MTV. Another big moment for me was the first time that I performed with Wyclef. That had been somebody that I had looked up to, and lo and behold, there he was in Nigeria. I was sitting with him. That was a big deal to me. Wyclef was an artist that had really inspired me.
Another golden moment was hmmm, when my first child came. It is not like I was not excited over the other ones, but when the first one arrived, I had this feeling that oh yeah, I am a father now! I was all wow and wow, so I am a father now. I kept saying to myself that I am responsible for this tiny human being…It was a very emotional feeling for me. My first child’s name is Nino.
Another exciting and great moment for me was when I proposed and got married to my wife. I proposed and she actually said yes to this useless boy! (Humbly points to himself). I said to myself, ‘Hey, this girl said yes to me! I was over joyed!!!

How did you propose to her?

I knelt down (laughs). After that, I told her that we should go somewhere to rock and enjoy ourselves. Meanwhile, my friend had invited people to that place already. She didn’t see it coming at all. It was a big huge surprise.

She is an actress, and you are a music star. You are both in the entertainment industry. How do you get on with the challenges of life in the show biz world?

I guess what we do actually adds to our understanding of the general public and the general way of how we should handle ‘us’, handle ourselves. I do not have any problem with her acting and she doesn’t have a problem with me doing music. We are just blending it. Right now, she has been off acting because of what they call maternity leave. But she is going to get back to acting at some point.

How does your wife Annie feel about your music?

If you recall this song, nfana ibaha o, she was the one that actually taught me how to say it, how to do it back then. So she has been my fan from way back. If I am doing a song and the song is not nice, she will tell me straight. She could urge me to change it or adjust it. She is my fine critic.
