See Photos: Lagos Fashion & Design Week day 3

 Let’s start with Bridget Awosika’s show which we were particularly looking forward to. Bridget gave us an amazing amount of edge; with that unique SS ’14 collection. We’ve always loved most of her black pieces, but this year, she gave white, blues, grey, navy, yellows and lilac, with very defined shapes and a couple of asymmetrical pieces. We caught up with Bridget herself after the show who explained that her collection was inspired by being able to cherish what you have so she took 12 of her best pieces and reworked them. Even with old pieces being reworked, she’s managed to give us very unique and edgy pieces. Bridget, we just cherish everything you design.

Washington Roberts was one of our favorites of the night, who gave us that red lace jumpsuit that made our hearts stop as soon as it appeared on the runway. The collection was very elegant and featured a lot of whites. What we particularly loved was the presentation at the beginning. We first got the all black outfit,a black and white and it successfully faded into and all white outfit. There were also a couple of reds and greens, and a bit of red leather. We also got a lot of lace and sheer. There was this magnificent see through black shirt that we were about to question, but thought to ourselves, it does look pretty awesome. We love how regal this collection was and the fact that we got a lot of femininity going on. Washington Roberts definitely represented the confident and sexy woman last night.

Iconic Invanity was everything and beyond! Embellishment and sparkles have never looked so appealing. This line was very glamorous and elegant, not only because of the amazing and attention grabbing embellishments but also because of the black satin, bold yellows, royal blue and velvet. Its so easy to go tacky with embellishment and sparkles but they got it right. The jumpsuits, playsuits, and the amazing dresses were definitely worthy of all the applause. It was truly a magnificent show.
