I Regret Not Winning CAF Player Of The Year Award – Okocha
Nigerian football legend Jay Jay Okocha has revealed that one of his big regrets was a failure to win the coveted CAF Player of the Year prize. Okocha famously finished as runner-up in 1998 and 2004 behind Mustapha Hadji and Samuel Eto’o despite being favourite to win the award on both occasions and the 1994 African champion has revealed getting recognition from many other quarters made up for missing out on the coveted prize.
Speaking at a fans interaction forum hosted by Western Union as part of their activities as Global Partners of the Europa League, Okocha said: “I definitely regret not winning the CAF Player of the Year award. I hoped to win while I was a professional but thing don’t always go your way. My source of pride, regardless of what happened with CAF, is that I got awards and recognition from others asides CAF.”
Ever so modest, Okocha also hinted that the reason for his failure to win the award was probably the plethora of quality footballers in his generation. “My generation had a lot of great footballers and the competition was very high. I feel privileged to have played in the same period as some of these greats and if I did not win the award, it is because someone else did,” Okocha said. “Saying I don’t regret not winning the CAF Player of the Year award will be a lie but a bigger regret is that I cannot come out of retirement to try again!” he joked.

Kcee reveals Why He Left Presh
After their surprise breakup,Kcee has become a superstar in his own right. However many wondered why they broke up..Was told that Kcee suggested they fake a breakup to gain media attention..So Presh agreed .Unknown to him Kcee was really serious about breaking up.So while Presh was waiting for him to come back, Kcee released songs and became a superstar leaving Presh in the cold....
Well, Kcee told Yes magazine his own reason below
"We thought we’ve been doing it for 12 years and we needed a change because the only thing that is constant is change. Just like the Yoruba adage that says that 20 children cannot play for 20 years. Although we never saw this coming, we always thought we would be together forever, but at the end of the day, we are doing it and we are loving it.Initially, I thought going solo was going to be stressful. I thought about how people were going to accept me as a solo artist knowing full well that I had been with Presh for about 12 years. Both of us were scared, but I thought that so far we can make people believe that we are good together as a group; we can also make them believe we can do it without each other and that was the belief. Even if you are twins, your focus can not be the same, your spirit and your drive might not be on the same platform at all times."

Nollywood Actress- I Don’t Have A Problem Acting Unclad Because My Body Is My Laptop
Sylvia Oluchy, a fast rising actress in an interview with BestofNollywood, was asked if there’s a limit to what she can do on set and if she could go nude for a movie role and here is what the actress said;
”I don’t have any boundaries because my body is my laptop. Others have their laptops and files, what I have is my body and voice, Even the concept of nudity, I don’t have any problems what so ever, but it has to make sense, if it enriches the story and is done tastefully, I mean sometimes you can see nudity been done for a good reason, like in the west, they could take off their clothes to protest. Like I said, I don’t have problem with nudity, I just want it to make sense”.

Nicki Minaj Getting Sued By Ex-Wig Stylist For $30 MILLION!
Nicki and Terrence split last year and it was an extra messy fall out. The wig beef between Nicki Minaj and her ex stylist Terrence Davidson continues! Now this just got extra messy. Terrence Davidson filed a lawsuit in a district court in Atlanta this morning alleging that his former client Nicki Minaj (he was the maker of all those multi-colored wigs that got her so much attention) STOLE his wig designs. He also claims she discouraged him from taking a potential reality show deal. Now that Nicki is selling wigs on her website–allegedly in the same likeness as the wigs Terrence once created–Terrence is pissed.
Mercy Johnson Nollywood Ban: Marketers Say They Will Not Lift Ban Until She Apologizes!
In November 2013 it was revealed that actress Mercy Johnson had been banned by The Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria (FVPMAN) for ‘unbecoming attitude of the actress as it affects her work.”
That was the official reason, the real reason had to do with her fees…Mercy Johnson who is currently teh highest paid actress in Nollywood charges between N1.8 Million & N2 Million per movie
In the latest development concerning Mercy Johnson’s ban it has been gathered that the marketers have vowed not to lift the ban until the actress tenders a letter of apology to them through their umbrella body, Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria, FVPMAN.
But according to Vanguard, all is not well with the rank and file in the marketers’ body since they slammed the ban on the actress.
According to a reliable source, while the chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the association, Mr Nobert Ajaegbu granted an interview last year, disowning the proposed ban of the actress, his aggrieved members who were dissatisfied with his action have refused to pay their dues to the association.
Following this development, Mr. Ajaegbu is said to have changed his position in order to give peace a chance. He told HVP that he decided to retrace his steps after he found out that Mercy Johnson actually committed all the things she was accused of. He said, “It was a case of established indiscipline on the part of Mercy Johnson,”
In a statement made available to HVP, Ajaegbu who doubles as FVPMAN spokesman, addressed some of the salient issues surrounding Mercy’s alleged ban.
According to him, “We did not ban Mercy because; we have resolved never to play ourselves god in any one’s life.
We only resolved to severe our business relationship with her because she have shown strong disregard to the rules of professional conduct and abuse on the terms of production contracts.”
Ajaegbu said, the ban was a “factor of mixed truth and falsehood. The issue in question has no bearing on her fee or charges as widely speculated. It is a function of misconduct, unjust and unfair treatment of film producers. We are obviously not agitated over what Mercy is being paid because, we pay the bills. We are strongly agitated because we anticipate that professional justification ought to have been given to the contract to act or perform. We believe that the sanctity of contract ought to have been respected.”
He went on to say, “The facts as we know before are that some of our members contracted Mercy at a particular scale of charge, when she collected money from higher bidders, she disregarded the contracts at lesser price and to some, she gave stringent and unprofessional conditions. We had written a letter to her in this regard about a year ago. The letter was a private advice from our union as well as a caution. We thought it wise to first caution her in case it was an unconscious attitude. Her inconsiderate attitude of disregarding this untold hardship on producers leaves us with no option, than to severe this uncommon relationship. It is not a ban, but simply a survival strategy. We took our time to investigate these allegations and came to the conclusion that they are not spurious. We did strong internal engagements, disagreements before arriving at the actual prove of facts relating to this issue.
Since the speculation in late October, last year, we had anticipated her to demonstrate some sort of remorse.
What we see is more of blackmail and ridicule. What is said to the world by her publicist was the tale of how we are unable to afford her charges or portray our people as envious of what she is being paid.”

Don’t Blame Me if My Clothes Don't Cover My Oranges — Yvonne Jegede
Yvonne Jegede, she was one of the 3 ladies featured in Tuface Idibia’s “African Queen” video, made a stunning comeback to acting after several years of being away from the industry in promo pictures that got most men drooling and a lot more people talking. And in a new interview with Vanguard, she explained why she shows off her boobs.
Excerpts:
You have a penchant for revealing some part of your body, may be your boobs. What happened today?
Well, it depends on the clothes. I have big boobs, so, if the clothes are not big enough to cover
my boobs you would not blame me for that. I am not the person who made my clothes . I just put the clothes on. It depends on my mood. If I want to expose my back, I will do that. It goes with my mood.
What can you not do without as a very pretty girl?
My eye pack because I love my eyes. I always like to make my lips look good. For the accessories, I can not do without my golden wrist watch. I wear it anywhere I go every day because it gives me good luck. I like big things and that’s why I had to get a big wrist watch.

Church Members Fight Over Signatories to Church’s Bank Account

Anglican Church leaders in the Diocese of Niger Delta North and foundation members of the Saint Matthew’s Anglican Church, Nkpogwu Deanery, Rivers State, have locked horns over who should be signatories to the church’s bank account.
The leaders of the church had frowned on a situation where only foundation members were signatories to the bank account of St. Matterw's Church. Their argument was that the vicar of the church must be a signatory.
The issue escalated after a new vicar, Ven. Chiemela Samuel, assumed duty at the church and he also was not allowed to be a signatory to the church’s bank account.
“This church has been giving problem since its inception. Members use money anyhow without the pastor’s approval. We feel there should be a check to these things.Archibishop, Province of Niger Delta and Bishop, Diocese of Niger Delta North, Most Rev. Ignatius Kattey, who had tried to broker peace, said the withdrawal and use of church funds without the knowledge of the vicar was wrong.
“In Anglican churches all over the world, pastors are chief signatories, but it is not like that in this church. The foundation members of the church use money anyhow because the pastor is not a signatory to the church’s account.”
He blamed the problem of the church on “some foundation members, who had been parading themselves as a cabal in the church.”
The church is now in crisis as leaders are saying they won't take such nonsense from the members of cabal.
A communiqué, signed by Most Rev. Kattey and two others, reads in part:
“The Diocesan Board maintains that henceforth and in line with the provisions and financial instructions of the Diocese (Niger Delta North), signatories to all church bank accounts should be the chairman (rector or vicar), treasurer and secretary with the chairman as the only principal (‘A’) signatory.
“To this end, the Diocesan Board further directs that all current signatories to all bank accounts of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Nkpogwu Deanery, be replaced with new ones from the caretaker committee until such a time when elections will be held in line with diocesan regulations.
“The relevant provisions of the diocesan financial institutions should be adhered to in order to forestall further abuse of church funds.”
The situation is so bad that some members of the cabal stormed the new Pastor's residence and disconnected it from electricity. What is happening in churches these days?
Sources in the church disclosed that, “About three pastors were driven away by this group of persons and now they want to drive the current pastor away.
