FG/ASUU: ASUU to Decide on FG's Fresh Offer

The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Doctor Nasir Fagge says the union’s members will decide on the new Federal Government’s offer to end the over four months strike.

Fagge made this known in the early hours of today after over thirteen hours of negotiations with President Jonathan on how to tackle the problem of university education system in country.

He said the leadership of the union had gotten a message from the President which will be taken back to their members, adding that ASUU members will respond appropriately to the message of Mr. President.

Fagge said the calling off of the strike will be determined by the members.

For his part, the Minister of Labour, Emeka Wogu urged Nigerians to be patient with ASUU members to finish their meetings.
