Boko Haram Now Kill Teachers In Their Homes
This Monday the insurgents reportedly killed one Mallam Lawan Manga, aged 45, and injured Mallam Akura Walbintu, both staff serving in Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Wulgo town of Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to the provided information, the incident, which took place at about 10:30 pm forced the school authorities to close the school indefinitely, as staff of the affected school have been into hiding for the fear of further attacks.
Wulgo town of Gamboru Ngala, a boarder community with Cameroon Republic and about 200 kilometres north, away from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, had witnessed series of deadly bomb blasts and shootings masterminded by terrorists in recent times.
Reliable resources said to the journalists that the 3 assailants, suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists, were armed with AK47 rifles. They invaded the village in the evening, before they went straight to the house of Lawan Manga and shot him dead.
Another source said that after killing Manga who is a staff of the school at about 10:45pm, living him in his pool of blood, they proceeded to the house of Akura Walbintu, also a staff of the same school and shot him at his buttocks and arm, before they escaped without being arrested.
A reliable security source said that immediately after the attack, a team of policemen were drafted to the scene, where 3 live ammunitions and 5 empty shell of AK 47 rifle were recovered. He also added that the injured were rushed to a General Hospital for treatment and that the corpse of the dead teacher was awaiting autopsy at the same hospital.
