MULTICHOICE NIGERIA REALITY FASHION SHOW, FASHION PROTÉGÉ , UNVEILS MENTORS

MultiChoice Nigeria is offering aspiring young fashion talents the quantum leap into the amazing world of fashion.

The Fashion Protégé has been created by MultiChoice Nigeria to rise a new generation of fashion giants that cut across designers and stylists and also to commensurate its 20th year in the Nigerian market. The 5-episode reality television series will air on DSTV AfricaMagic.

It even gets better; distinguished designers, Mai Atafo and Lanre Da Silva Ajayi have been revealed as the mentors on the show.

MAI Inspired Creative Director, Ohimai Atafo is a favourite among a long list of Nigerian notables like Stephanie Okereke, Mercy Johnson, Ramsey Nouah, Banky W, D’banj, 2Face and M.I. He is a master at his craft and certainly knows his job well. He is well gifted in  the creation of impeccable tailored Menswear especially suits and Women’s wear especially bridals (Weddings by Mai). He also does androgynous with excellence. His creations have a unique identity that have the MAI DNA pasted all over them.



Lanre Da Silva Ajayi (LDA) is the Creative Head behind the namesake fashion brand that is LDA, a favourite staple in most fashion junkies celebrity wardrobes that always create a one-of-a-kind lasting impression on the wearers as well as admirers. LDA is currently stocked at the Dolce & Gabbana Spiga2 Concept Store located in Milan, Italy and has graced the pages of a number of African and international publications.

It is really a big opportunity (and a rare one at that) for young fashion creatives eager to venture into the world of fashion.

How to Enter;

• Read all there is to know about MultiChoice Nigeria

• Design a piece inspired by MultiChoice Nigeria

• Create your masterpiece (you can enlist a tailor if you don’t have sewing skills)

• Take a photo of your piece, write a short note on the MultiChoice inspiration and submit via any of the 3 entry methods.

• Spread the word! (Twitter, Facebook, BBM, Instagram)

Next Steps

30 finalists will be shortlisted for the audition
10 contestants will be chosen for the 5 episode reality series
1 winner will emerge!
Entry Guidelines

Contestants must be between ages 18-35
Designer, Stylist, Fashion Enthusiast. Ability to sew not compulsory for participation. However, Creative Direction must be executed by contestant.
If already in business; business must have been established for a period less than 2 years
Contestants must be based in Nigeria.
Up For Grabs is N 1,000,000 (1 Million), Mentorship by a renowned Nigerian designer, an International Fashion Trip, a Special Feature Interview on BellaNaija, a Feature in a Top Fashion Magazine & a Lookbook by a Top Photographer.
