The Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri has said APC cannot be talking about change when they still make use of brooms in 2015.
He also asked Nigerians if they were willing to go back to broom or go with the latest technology of using a Vacuum cleaner which president Jonathan represents. We are in 2015, not 1915 Omokri emphasized.

I Gave Up My Booming Career For Marriage - Actress Uche Elendu

The Nollywood actress Uche Elendu who got married in 2012 keeping her booming career on the side, opened up to Sun in an interview that marriage is important in a woman's life, am she gave the career up then for her marriage.

The actress who is back to take her spot told Sun;

I was at the peak of my career when I got married. I still believe that marriage is important in a woman’s life. After I got married, I had a three-year break because I had to take care of my daughter and keep my home. And after that, I returned to my job.

Tom Lanting, 34, and Iain Robertson, 39, who have been together for 12 years, were married in a ceremony in the 16th-century vaulted cellars of Marlin's Wynd in Edinburgh.

They live in the Scottish capital and are both described as being hedge witches, who use herbal remedies to deal with medical and spiritual ailments.

Their wedding ceremony encompassed a number of pagan traditions, including casting a circle, invoking the elements of earth, air, water, fire and spirit, exchanging rings, sharing a quaich of mead,

Apparently ruffled by the momentum generated by the nomination of Yemi Osinbajo, a professor and pastor, as the running mate of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress [APC], Muhammadu Buhari, President Goodluck Jonathan is asking a group of Pentecostal pastors to help him avert what he fears could be a loss in next month’s presidential polls.

Mr. Osinbajo, a prominent cleric with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, law professor and Senior Advocate of Nigeria [SAN] emerged APC’s presidential running mate last month giving President Jonathan and the ruling party, PDP, what sources described as sleepless nights.

Specifically last Thursday, the President held a meeting in Abuja, with a number of Pentecostal pastors led by Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel, with the main agenda being how to fashion out ways to solve the “Osinbajo” problem.

Pope Francis has announced he will be making his first visit to Africa later this year. He will be visiting Uganda and the restive Central African Republic. According to his camp, the visit should have taken place but for Ebola which hit major parts of Africa last year.

Man Kills Friend In Lagos Over N30 Sachet Dry Gin

During a disagreement over a sachet of dry Gin worth N30, a 57-year-old man was stabbed to death by his friend, in Otto Community an outskirt of Lagos. The Lagos State Police are currently into full investigation.

Meanwhile, Police officers have gone on a raiding spree in the community. They were said to have roused some people from sleep and taken them away. The officers, it was gathered, came twice to raid the community and allegedly whisked away about 30 suspects.

It was gathered that the victim, identified as Mr. Abudu (aka Baba Timo), who had moved from Bariga to Otto some months ago, was cooling down with local gin at a joint with his friend (names yet unknown) when trouble began.

The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Musa Ibeto, has dumped his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, for the All Progressives Congress according to reports. Before his defection, Ibeto contested the PDP governorship ticket in the state, but lost because his boss, Governor Babangida Aliyu, did not back his candidacy.

Ahmed Nasko is currently the party’s governorship candidate in the state. It was gathered that over 200 PDP members in the state left with the Deputy Governor. Announcing his exit to his new found party, the APC, Ibeto said, “I am on my way to welcome our party leader and presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, at Minna Airport for his campaign rally in Niger State.”

The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ibinabo Fiberesima, confirmed the news in a phone interview with Y!Naija saying:

The All Progressives Party (APC) in Rivers State are wailing again as another fresh bomb attack has occurred in another secretariat apart from the one bombed on Sunday. This fresh attack occurred at their secretariat at Ngo community in Andoni Local Government area on Friday at around 3 am.

The party chairman has however called on government to intervene as people of the party and community at large are no longer safe. It is the second attack on APC in Rivers State in less than a week.

Reports however also has it that, the campaign office of the Zamfara Central Senatorial candidate of PDP, Ibrahim Shehu was also destroyed by unknown men. The men stormed his campaign office, injured three and burnt three motorcycles before setting the office ablaze and fled the scene.

Police Arrests Two In Abuja In White Range Rover With Fake Presidency Plate Number

The Police in FCT have arrested two suspected fraudsters and recovered a fake number plate and two identity cards purportedly issued by State House/Presidency.

Wilson Inalegwu, the Commissioner of Police in the territory, made this known at news conference in Abuja on Friday.

Inalegwu said the suspects were arrested in a white Range Rover Jeep bearing the fake number plate after the City Gate on Airport Road.

The commissioner added that 2,900 fake Euros were also recovered from the suspects.

Meet Ibime Belema-Jonathan, a 24-year-old native of Nembe, Baylesa, who announced on the social network twitter yesterday that he is one of the president's illegitimate sons.

"According to Belema-Jonathan, his mother was a receptionist in a Port Harcourt hotel (which shall remain undisclosed) when she met Goodluck nearly 25 years ago. Their relationship was made private because of the risks it posed to Goodluck's then fledgling political career.

He has decided to disclose this information after recently being informed by his mother, who had just passed away. It is his desire for his father to assume and fulfill his fatherly duties after a lifetime of absence."

'Last Victorian' Dies Aged 114

Britain's oldest person has died at the age of 114. Ethel Lang was believed to be the last person living in the UK who was born in the reign of Queen Victoria. Mrs Lang was born in the Worsbrough area of Barnsley on 27 May 1900 and lived in the South Yorkshire town all her life.

She became the UK's oldest person after Londoner Grace Jones died aged 113 in 2013.

Mister Iheme [pictured], has been unemployed since he graduated from the University of Port Harcourt with a First Class certificate in Civil Engineering, 2007. He has been struggling alone to take care of his dying sick mother who is suffering from breast cancer.

Two days ago, he went to a nearby chemist to buy some drugs for his mom who was having severe pains. As he got to the Chemist, the pharmacist wasn't there so Mister Iheme, out of fear of saving his dying mother's life, hurriedly collected a few drugs worth about 90 naira, less than a dollar. As he was about walking out, the pharmacist stepped in, "Thief, Thief", he shouted. Before Mister Iheme could know it, he had been surrounded and beaten like a highway criminal.

So a man alleged to be a thief was caught and beaten today in Calabar by some soldiers after allegedly stealing from a woman. A website who reported this said the man bought short knickers from a woman for N500 and immediately she put the money in her purse, the N500 and all the money there disappeared. She then shouted and soldiers around help her catch the man and asked him to confess.

Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charlie Boy, on Wednesday, said his 37-year-old marriage had been a blessing and lesson for others to learn.

LASSA officials and the Lagos State police are at loggerheads over removal of political posters in the State? Well, the police partially believe that LASSA officials are only removing PDP’s posters and warned them to be fair to all parties.

But we can tell you for free that LASSA officials have been removing both APC posters and that of PDP placed at wrong places in the State. A LASSA official was photographed (as seen in the picture above) removing a poster of Akinwunmi Ambode, the governorship candidate of APC. So it’s a fair task.

After the attack in Baga,the Nigerian Military said 150 not 2000 people died but Amnesty International has released shocking satellite images which show the extent of damage ..This is to buttress their claims that an estimated 2,500 people, were slaughtered in the deadliest attack since insurgency have been revealed in shocking new satellite images.

With more than 3,700 structures including houses and schools completely destroyed.
In the pictures taken beforehand, the areas in red show buildings and trees in the densely packed towns in the north of the country.But in the pictures taken after the massacre, they have been decimated and the infra-redsatellite images instead reveal grey areas where the militants savagely razed the towns.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Reverend Hakila Yerima, has died. Hakila who intends to rule Adamawa died on the 6th of January, 2015 of a liver related disease after picking the party’s governorship ticket on the 6th of December, 2014.

He however wrote the party few days to his death of his intention to withdrawing from the race due to failing health before passing away few days after the letter.

Police Find Man’s Head In Ebute Meta, Body In Surulere

The Police in Lagos State have recovered the mutilated remains of a man, identified only as Christmas, which were dumped at two different areas of the state.

Punch Metro learnt that the victim’s head was found at Olokodana junction in the Ebute Meta area, while his body was recovered in Alaka, Surulere, on Wednesday.

It was gathered that the identities of Christmas’ killers were, however, yet to be unravelled by the police.

A lodger, who was passing by the junction around 7am, was said to have raised the alarm, having discovered the head in a pool of blood.

APC is not joking!
